"Dozens of the white nationalists in Charlottesville were wearing red Make America Great Again hats. Asked by a reporter in New Jersey whether he wanted the support of white nationalists, Trump did not respond."
We've been here before. Fought these same people.
I'm saying this with sincere respect for some of my Facebook friends who voted Trump for their own legitimate reasons, and who are decent, hardworking people, and certainly not white supremacists or anything close...
But when the idiotic KKK and fuckin' NAZIS march on an American city, chanting about how they wanta "take back our country"...and many of them identify themselves as Trump supporters, wear Trump campaign gear etc. ...and our sitting president does not condemn and slam them in no uncertain terms...something's drastically wrong.
Trump had a chance to distinguish himself here. He either doesn't get it, or he doesn't care. Either way, it's a depressing day. Maybe he'll come back and say something meaningful tomorrow. Who knows?
I feel terrible for the good people of Charlottesville. I feel pretty bad for all of us.
